The Aseniwuche Winewak Nation of Canada (AWN) also know as the Rocky Mountain People, created this unique program to contribute to local recovery efforts for endangered woodland caribou herds in west-central Alberta. The Caribou Patrol operates within a 100 kilometre radius of Grande Cache, and patrols are focused on areas that have a higher risk of vehicle collisions.
