Saturday & Sunday
91 Street & 118 Avenue
Our Indigenous neighbours welcome you! Enjoy traditional activities, both Saturday and Sunday, including traditional storytelling, music, dance, snowshoeing, crafts and delicious bannock.
In the Cree language January is referred to as the Great Moon ‘kise-pisim’. As part of our January Deep Freeze Festival we say ‘Tawow’ or ‘welcome’ you to a great indigenous experience. By visiting our Pipon Village (which means winter in Cree), you can gather round our central hearth to warm your hearts and hands as well as visit with Indigenous Artisans selling their wares while you sample tea and hot bannock freshly made over the fire.
Thank you to Chief Billy Morin, Enoch Cree Nation, and River Cree Casino for their continued partnership with Arts on the Ave.
