Jason Kodie is an Edmonton based musician who has been an integral member in a variety of projects and bands. He has performed at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Place des Arts in Montréal, The Smithsonian in Washington DC, with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and a range of venues from house concerts to premier venues throughout Western Canada. With accordion as his primary instrument, he is equally versatile as a pianist, composer, and arranger. He is a member of Captain Tractor, Le Fuzz, The McGowan Family band, and is a sought-after session player. Jason was a founding member of ‘Ze Punterz’, the house band for the Edmonton Fringes’ Late Nite Cabaret, and has been involved with ‘Flying Canoe Volant’ festival as their musical curator. He is often seen at various street performer festivals with his Piano Bike, under the pseudonym ‘Dr Chops’. Further, he has done over 30 sound designs with various theatre companies and is currently working on a project with Théâtre Niveau Parking in Québec on a co-production with l’Unithéâtre for their upcoming show ‘Trout Stanley’.
