We have positions available for many different skills & interests. Come work with marvellous people on fun teams, get a sweet festival toque and other fabulous perks! 

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Arts on the Ave. Hundreds of volunteers celebrate and create new traditions together on Alberta Avenue. Their tireless efforts make our festivals and community an inspiring piece of Edmonton’s cultural fabric. Join the revolution and inspire change through volunteering, read on!

Volunter Positions!

Volunteer Position/Crew Crew Description
Aboriginal Village (outdoor) Aiding in tea and bannock making. Good job to do with a friend.
Artisan Market Crew (outdoor) Maintaining and aiding the artisans and vendors in our Artisan Market.
Concessions Crew (indoor) Selling cultural dishes to our guests with a smile in the Hudson Hall!
Deep Freeze Race Crew (outdoor) Helping reset the deep freezers races in the middle of 118 ave and getting the crowd hyped for each race!
Family Workshops Crew (indoor) Facilitating the many different TBA workshops for families, working with the workshop hosts and providing a fantastic atmosphere for all.
Fundraising & Fire Crew (outdoor) Keeping our guests warm by attending the fires around the festival site. Reloading the fire when needed and supervising a donation tube!
Gallery Crew (indoor) Supervising and aiding the gallery. Making sure the area is fit for guests.
Maintenance Team Crew (outdoor & indoor) Helping keep the festival ground beautiful and tidy, both indoors and out.
Hockey Tournament Crew (outdoor) Facilitating the awesome street hockey tournament happening all over the avenue during the festival.
Info and Merch Crew (outdoor & indoor) The cornerstone of our guest services! Being in our info booths helping patrons find acts and stages. The face of our festival in engagement with the public.
Kids Area Crew (outdoor) Supervising kids doing various outdoor activities and events in the fenced area behind the community league.
Kitchen Crew (indoor) Helping prepare all the meals with our food coordinator for our lovely volunteers and cultural dishes for patrons!
Liquor Crew (indoor) (18+) Serving in our beer gardens and helping keep the area clean and to code. Do not need pro-serve, but is preferred. (18+)
Security/Ground Safety Crew (outdoor) (18+) Ensuring the safety of the festival grounds. Patrolling roadblocks, and securing the stages and beer gardens.
Site/Stage/Set up and Tear Down Crew (outdoor) (must lift 20lbs+) This is the muscle crew of the festival. They are responsible for making sure everything is to working order with the festival.
Transportation Crew (outdoor & indoor) Transporting acts from lodging to site. Will require license and driver's abstract.
Check-in Crew (indoor) Checking in the Volunteers & Performers As they arrive, as well as leading them to their stages/performance/volunteer areas. This requires an interest or experience in administration.
Volunteer and Performer Lounge Care Crew (indoor) Helping care for our Volunteers & Performers by keeping the separate lounges in Alberta Avenue community league stocked. Keeping it a relaxing break space for Volunteers & Performers.
Volunteer Engagement Crew (outdoor & indoor) Checking up on and helping volunteers out on the festival grounds by delivering water, bathroom breaks, and high fives. Must be willing to help out (at least temporarily) in all areas of the festival.
